JEC World 2022 DAY 1: Polymer & Composite based storage solutions for H2 mobility: Is the future battery-electric only?

The basics of BEV and FCV drives will be introduced along their fundamental dilemmas of weight, safety risk, range and refill/reload cycles, value-chains. Similar to photovoltaics and wind power generation, the basic assumption is a relationship of synergy of BEV and FCV. The audience will be introduced to one of the FCV core component, which is the high pressure polymer/composite tank. The presentation will touch on the state of the art of polymer solutions for the tank inner liner and will provide the basic trade offs in the performance design characteristics. UBE aims with the presentation to give insights into the companies pioneering history of supplying Nylon based solutions to this evolving market.
